Leopard Stole By Stephen Sprouse

The French house Louis Vuitton just released the 2nd edition Foulards D' Artistes series collection, a creative partnerships with contemporary artists for the F/W 2013.

This collaboration started last season with mazing contemporary artists like Stephen Sprouse, Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince and Yayoi Kusama.

For the next season, LV have once again invited new artists to bring their unique creative vision and art to LV's Famous giant classic square silk scarfs.

This time were chosen three internationally known street artists: Eko Nugroho from Indonesia with drawings inspired by the indonesian traditional motifs and its urban and popular culture, the French Tunisian el Seed that I already talked about here inspired by Arabic calligraphy and EINE from the UK inspired by urban graffiti.

Crystal Clear - Plexiglass Clutches

It seems that the trend for crystal clear futuristic clutches came to stay.... More and more the tendency is embracing new alternatives made predominantly in Crystal or Plexiglass.

I just love this new minimalistic aesthetic!!! They are refined, delicate, futuristic, modern and so effortlessly elegant....

Perhaps they also have a little bit of a voyeuristic appeal, I guess it's the natural curiosity of the human being that you are satisfying by allowing others to get a glimpse of your private world.... though nothing that much to see... Women do not carry many things in these tiny hand bags....

What I really love about these clutches? So chic day or night with any outfit it will blend effortlessly....

Louis Vuitton and the Retro Dinosaur Window Displays

The French house Louis Vuitton inspired by the French Natural History Museum in Paris's Les Jardins des Plantes to create stunning new dinosaur-themed window displays to present their Pre-Fall 2013/ 2014 Collection.

Louis Vuitton is going so Retro Chic showing that Pre Historic animals can be very stylish and chic bring pre history into the future.

To showcase the collection, seven golden dinosaur skeletons are being displays in some stores alongside with their iconic handbags collection that includes the Speedy and Sofia Coppola, Noe and the Alma models. Also Mannequins will be "Interacting"with the dinosaurs.

Louis Vuitton explains what can be seen in the windows:

"The slow, spiny Dimetrodon, the oldest of the selection, dating from 290 million years ago, with its distinctive sail of spines on its back; the placid Stegosaurus, with plates across its backbone like a jaw full of wonky teeth; the gigantic, pond-paddling Brachiosaurus; the swift-footed, fast-thinking Velociraptor; the predatory Spinosaurus, the largest of the meat-eaters, even bigger than the Tyrannosaurus rex; and the three-horned Triceratops, the youngest of the bunch at a mere 65 millions years old."

The displays are organized and labeled in a Museum-style to make you fell inside a Natural History Museum with less frightening and more chic and welcoming dinosaurs.

The window displays can be seen until end of September 2013 in the following stores:

- Champs Elysées

K108 Hotel and Yum Yum Restaurant

Located in the middle of old Doha you will find one of the best kept secret places in Doha...a very different Hotel.... The K108...

Photo: K108 Courtesy
The K108 Boutique Hotel is a place I highly recommend for several reasons, but the most important one is because 100% of it's profit goes to charity!!!! Yes, I said 100% to Charity!!!  I could end up here, because for me, this is more then a enough reason to go, but no...there are more and I will tell you a bit of this great Hotel ...

Though its location, a bit far for the fancy spots of Doha's 5 star Hotel, K108 is a real pearl. On it's 10th floor you will find the Yum Yum restaurant with a perfect view of the city.

Yum Yum by Hugo Coudurier is one of my favorite restaurants for lunch, though the majority of their customers prefer to go for dinner to see the lights of Doha's stunning skyline.

Hugo Coudurier a young talented French- Canadian Chef that worked in many famous kitchens in Europe and United States and for the famous Michelin Starred Guy Savoy (Paris), accepted the challenge to open he's own kitchen and dinning concept at the Yum Yum.

What I love about Yum Yum is the fact they have a market style menu. Chef Hugo Coudurier explained me that the menu changes depends on the food market availability and freshness of the products, so you will always find new dishes in the menu.

He's cuisine is simple, uncomplicated with a mix of Asian and European flavors with the use of the best quality products you can find in town, the result is absolutely divine, delicious and unique.

With a excellent service, the staff is always friendly, attentive and professional making you fell at home and the best off all with incredible affordable prices for the quality you get.

This boutique hotel and restaurant was designed by Olivier Meynard Architects and has a very clean and modern decor white white, green, brown colors giving a very cosy environment.

K108 is definitely a place to go and recommend to friends coming to Doha...and most importantly because they donate 100% of their profit under Al Kamal foundation to charity and important causes.

And why not now that Ramadam is coming, go there and help to make a difference in this world while you enjoy a great experience in Yum Yum.
