La Pace Del Palato

Rome, the so called "The eternal City", is definitely one of my favorites destinations in Europe. This eclectic city, with this amazing mix of old and new living beside each other with grace and ease always surprises me with new things to see, do and try.

When in Rome, and althougt the huge choices of places where you can eat, you will always feel that you are entering another touristic place, not the "real deal"when you want to try the authentic roman food.

Some days ago,  my roman friends took me to this absolutely amazing restaurant near Piazza Navona, La Pace Del Palato, witch means "Taste of Peace", and I was overwhelmed by the flavors of each dish.

In the middle of so many touristic restaurants in the historical center, you find this family owned restaurant in Via del Teatro Pace, just a few steps from the famous Piazza Navona, serving traditional Roman and Mediterranean cuisine with a modern touch.

The owner Mr Renato Pesce is the perfect host, courteous and affable, going from table to table taking time to explain all the dishes being served, you feel being received like a special guest in someones own house. In the cuisine you will find is son, the Chef Francesco Pesce that will make you feel in heaven each time a new dish is brought to the table.

Starting with the appetizer course witch is actually like 5-6 courses of specialties that the chef has prepared for the day, you will really need to go with an empty stomach, otherwise it will be difficult  to reach your main meal after. For the main meal, they have great options of traditional roman pasta dishes, all of them great, but difficult to appreciate properly due to the amazing appetizer indulgence....
